Throughout Unancestral Voice, Burgeon speaks
with a being called a Meggid. "The Meggid," we are told, "was something
like a voice that spoke within the mind 'in silence and solitude.' But
not an audible voice."
The Meggid, we are told, may be thought of
as an angel, or a spirit-being, entering
man and speaking with him words of wisdom, or considered as "identical
with the divine Logos" (UV 20-21).
